This new release of Plone focuses on increased speed, scalability, ease-of-use, and offers simple installation for both new sites & upgrades.  Enfold Systems has deployed pre-release Plone 4 based solutions for months, and has seen immediate benefits to end-users, content editors and developers alike.

Plone 4 brings significant performance improvements.  It is about 50% faster than Plone 3, is more memory efficient, has search / indexing improvements and serves massive files & video easily. Plone 4 also features a new theme that is accessible and easy to customize, a polished user interface that was refined to be even more intuitive, and a new graphical HTML editor (TinyMCE).

Like previous versions of Plone, there are point-and-click installers for Windows, Mac and Linux.  You can be up and running in under 10 minutes, and Plone 4 is an easy upgrade from Plone 3.  For an in-depth review of Plone 4, visit here, or contact us above for a FREE upgrade / migration consultation.

“Plone 4 provides a world class user experience. It also silences its critics on many aspects such as performance, flexibility and deployment configuration.” says Alan Runyan, President of Enfold Systems and Co-Founder of the Plone CMS. “In addition, this new version of the book serves as an ideal support tool to enable end users to be self sufficient. This is vitally important for large scale organizations to have this type of support material.”
