What's New

New features include:

• Windows installer is now digitally signed by Enfold Systems - ensuring authenticity

• Revised, expanded documentation provides guidance on more ways to use Proxy to improve performance.
• New annual subscriptions provide more comprehensive support with a choice of levels.

Other improvements:

• New cache purge feature quickly fixes errors due to cache corruptions.
• Reuse of remote server connections improves proxy performance.
• New cache check tool examines a large cache and fixes it if necessary.
• Better configuration-checking tool speeds error diagnosis during setup.
• XSLT processing creates Web pages from XML files.
• Bug fix eliminates problem with degraded performance because of "stale" files in the cache directory.
• Bug fix eliminates problem with includes and excludes of names containing spaces.

Requirements

Proxy server

Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0, 5.1 or 6.0

Source Web server

Enfold Server 2.x or 3.x; or Plone 2.1, 2.5 or 3.0

Note Enfold Systems provides support only for use with these servers, although Enfold Proxy will work with many other source Web servers.

After Downloading

Documentation concerning configuration of this new version of Enfold Proxy is currently available only in the installed help files. First run the installer, then on the taskbar click Start, point to All Programs, then Enfold Proxy, then Help, and then click Help.

Your feedback is important as we prepare for the production-ready release. Please post your comments, including bugs and other improvement suggestions, on the Enfold Server/Proxy support collector.

Depending on user feedback, we expect the production-ready release to be available within a few weeks.
